The Jazz Club books bands on a regular basis, some come and go, some are new, and some return often. The list below gives a little information about the regulars.Antique Six
The band plays a style of jazz influenced by the works of such musicians as Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver and the Revivalist bands of the ‘40s. There is a strong New Orleans influence in some of the music played by this band, but more modern numbers and ‘party jazz’ are important parts of the repertoire.Barry Palser's Savoy Jazz Band

Hugely entertaining and popular traditional jazz band from the Deep South of England with a sound that will please all trad fans. Trumpeter Gerry Brown toured with the great Louis Armstrong in 1962 and the Mission Hall was voted 'Band of the Year' at Nat Gonella's Gosport club in 2001.LimeHouse Jazz Band
This 10 piece band was founded in 1965. Originally from the Haarlem region near Amsterdam the band have developed a good reputation for playing classic New Orleans music of the 20’s and 30’s acoustically.Millennium Eagle Jazz Band
This new band sports a healthy combination of youth and experience. The wide repertoire is drawn from popular songs from the 1920s, 30s, and 40s; Classic Jazz compositions by King Oliver, Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton and Sydney Bechet plus New Orleans Marches, Rags, Stomps, Blues and Swing numbers. As some band members are multi-instrumentalists, the group delivers a variety of different sounds and styles. All selections are played in a happy, entertaining manner an many feature vocals. This six piece band has a large repertoire of jazz standards such as blues, stomps, marches, and spirituals. They also spice things up with a dash of latin, boogie, ballads and a waltz or two! The influences are as varied as Capn John Handy to Ben Webster, George Lewis to Barney Bigard. Rod plays however with a fire and enthusiasm which is strictly his own style.
